Alkagesta said in a company press release that it had taken part in the eighth International Conference “Fertilizers of Ukraine: Autumn 2026” in Lviv. The event brought together fertilizer producers, traders and distributors alongside agricultural businesses and logistics operators to discuss conditions in Ukraine’s fertilizer industry and the market outlook for 2027.
The company identified Elchin Aliyev, its Regional Commodity Trader for Ukraine, as its representative at the conference. According to the release, he engaged with major agricultural holdings, fertilizer manufacturers, importers, distributors and terminal operators during the two-day programme. The announcement describes participation and industry contacts, rather than a specific transaction: it does not name counterparties or report any supply agreements arising from those discussions.
Conference topics included the international and regional influences on fertilizer prices, imports and domestic output, as well as difficulties affecting logistics, Alkagesta said. The agenda placed the assessment of current industry conditions alongside discussion of the following year’s prospects. The release does not provide forecasts for 2027 demand, import volumes or production, nor does it set out conclusions reached by conference participants.
In its account of market conditions, Alkagesta said import prices for key nitrogen fertilizers had increased sharply compared with a year earlier. It also described domestic production capacity as restricted by infrastructure disruption. No individual nitrogen products, price assessments or production figures were supplied, leaving the scale of those pressures unquantified in the announcement.
Alkagesta attributed a fertilizer supply shortfall to war and supply-chain disruption. It argued that addressing the deficit required multi-commodity capabilities and established European supply networks, presenting its own activities in petroleum products, biofuels and fertilizers in that context. That assessment of the company’s capabilities is Alkagesta’s own position, rather than an independently verified finding of the conference.
