Alkagesta said in a company press release that it took part in the II Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15–16 October 2026. Javid Guliyev, its CIS Regional Trader, represented the business throughout the two-day event. The announcement placed the company’s attendance in the context of its existing CIS operations and the importance it assigns to Central Asia within its wider regional business.

According to Alkagesta, the forum gathered energy industry executives, policymakers and investors to discuss changes affecting Central Asian energy markets. Its account highlighted logistics, regulation and the region’s role in global energy security as the backdrop to the discussions. Regional energy cooperation and improvements to supply chains were the principal themes identified in the company’s description of the 2026 programme.

The agenda covered oil and gas reserves across the region, alongside strategies for production. Other sessions addressed cross-border trading routes and logistics infrastructure, as well as refining capacity and access to markets. Alkagesta also listed investment, risk management and the development of public-private partnerships in Central Asia among the subjects considered. The programme therefore combined discussion of energy resources and processing with the routes and arrangements through which products reach markets.

Alkagesta described shifting trade corridors and Central Asia’s growing involvement in global supply chains as factors shaping the regional market. In the company’s view, the gathering offered an opportunity to discuss both the prospects and difficulties associated with those changes. That assessment forms part of its own account of the event, rather than an independently reported finding about the forum’s impact.

The press release said Alkagesta has an active presence in CIS markets and a petroleum-products trading platform covering approximately 48 countries. It linked participation in the Tashkent forum to that footprint, but did not announce a transaction, investment commitment or new partnership arising from the meeting.
